Once, Thalassa was a mortal woman who lived in a small coastal village on the outskirts of Zagreus. She was a skilled sailor and had a deep love for the sea, often spending her days fishing and swimming in the ocean. One fateful day, during a particularly violent storm, Thalassa was thrown overboard and presumed drowned by her fellow villagers.

But Thalassa did not drown. Instead, she was transformed by the power of Ki and became a deity in her own right. Her mortal form was shed and replaced with a more ethereal one, with long blonde hair that flowed like seaweed and skin the color of the white sand.

Since then, Thalassa has roamed the vast expanse of the Great Ocean, observing the world above and occasionally interacting with mortals who cross her path. Some sailors tell tales of seeing her face in the waves or hearing her voice on the wind. Others swear they’ve seen her emerge from the depths to help ships in distress, guiding them safely to shore.

Despite her otherworldly appearance, no one knows for certain whether Thalassa is a benevolent deity or a dangerous one. Some say she is the spirit of the ocean itself, while others believe she is a vengeful entity seeking revenge on those who disrespect her domain. But all who venture into her realm must tread lightly, for the power of the sea is mighty, and Thalassa is its guardian.
