Pyrost was once a great adventurer, known throughout the land for his courage and bravery. He had traveled far and wide, facing all manner of challenges and triumphing over them all. But one day, Pyrost found himself venturing too far south of Zagreus, and before he knew it, he had fallen into a pit of searing lava.

The pain was excruciating, and Pyrost knew he was going to die. But then, something miraculous happened. Ariastris, the fire goddess, appeared before him, her body wreathed in flames. With a wave of her hand, she lifted Pyrost out of the lava and into the air. He felt his body change in that moment, becoming something different, something…undead.

But Pyrost was not dead. Instead, he was now lava-proof, immune to the very flames that had nearly claimed his life. He returned to the world of the living, but his appearance had been altered forever. His skin was now gray and disfigured, and his eyes glowed with an otherworldly light.

Despite his newfound abilities, Pyrost was shunned by many, who feared his undead appearance. He retreated to the inner towns of Central Zagreus, where he lived in seclusion, hiding from the judgmental eyes of others. But deep down, Pyrost knew that he still had a purpose in this world, and he was determined to find it, no matter what anyone else thought.
